Camera Angle Tester

Before I get any further into this project, I need to do some tests to figure out how many cameras I’ll actually need. So far, all of my conclusions have been drawn from educated guesswork. I plan to build a device to help me determine the minimum angles between the cameras. This angle tester will consist of a (probably wooden) block that attaches to my tripod for stability. On top of this block I’ll affix two protractors, so that I can consistently and easily measure the camera’s angle. The camera will be mounted on a rotating arm that will connect to the center block through a dowel.

I’ll also need a way to trigger the camera. I think the easiest way to do this will be with a small button which will be wired into the Pi. This simple tutorial will probably be sufficient. All that remains is to order some buttons, wires, a breadboard, and a Raspberry Pi camera.
