The last piece of hardware (at least for now) is a mount for the LiDAR device itself. An earlier version of this component was visualized in purple in my last post.
I designed mount with a small notch to allow for more room for the nuts. While helpful, this cutout was probably not necessary.
I secured the LiDAR with ⅜” screws from McMaster. I picked these screws simply because I had them lying around – if I were to pick new screws, I would have chosen screws with a larger head, as these slid through the mounting holes. However, with a nut on each side, they work perfectly for this application.

Unlike the Motor 2 mount, I didn’t need to drill out the shaft hole on this component – it fit snugly on the motor shaft.
